This year has brought about an entirely new era in my life. I work outside everyday taking care of flower beds. I live in a perfect little house with my new family. I'm about to start college classes for Horticulture. I've grown as a person into someone I really like. I couldn't be happier. The universe is unfolding as it should. December The month began with an 80th birthday celebration for my beautiful grandmother. I also had the opportunity to see one of my heroes, David Bazan perform in a personal little living room show. It was amazing. The last great show of the year with the Jackal Tickets. Christmas It was a lovely day with friends and family. New Years Eve Well that's a wrap!  2015 was an exciting roller coaster,  and I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store. April This was a big month for us, with parties, a wedding, and a honeymoon road-trip! Bridesmaid's Brunch Amy and Savannah are my two best friends in the entire world, and I would be completely and totally lost without them. The Wedding After eight years together we finally tied the knot! It was a sweet simple celebration in our yard on the river, with all of our families and friends around us. I love you sweetheart! Zae likes our new quilt "Just because something needs to be said, doesn't necessarily mean that it needs to be heard." Trilli was very tuckered out after all the Christmas excitement (also, new couch cover for Christmas) Christmas was wonderful but also very challenging, and I wrote about it but I'm not sure that it needs to be shared. There are words running through my veins that need to spill out, but I am so hesitant to share too much information.. too much truth about my self, my past, my scars. At the same time, there's so much past inside my present ( feist ). Perhaps another day. plant explosion There was delicious food. Gifts. Family. Friends. It was truly a lovely day, until my grandmother's blood pressure dropped causing her to drift in and out of consciousness. Many tears were shed and while my mom and big sis went to the hospital with her the rest of us (my little sister, the guys, and my nieces and nephew) hugged and shared ...

heirloom ballerina ornament - my very favorite Christmas is just a few days away!  It's always a stressful time of year,  but this year has been a real struggle for me.  Jonathan and me are both in the middle of changing jobs, which comes with it's own set of challenges trying not to get behind financially. We are doing okay, but there was no extra money to spend on gifts, and while our families are loving and supportive and insist that it's fine- it is very hard not to feel guilty when listening to the lists of everything they have bought. Society has made the holiday so materialized; tainted it with piles of stuff and wishlists and somehow the love of family and friends and being grateful for what we already have gets lost in the chaos. I see it most in kids, spoiled to the point of being upset because they were given the wrong version of a toy, the wrong barbie, the wrong game system, and throw a tantrum despite the Mount Everest size pile of expens...

a family reunion I failed to take my camera along last weekend when we were in town, and as a result, most of the photos are from my phone. Sorry for the terrible quality, everyone! There are so many people there, I am always trying to piece together names and faces. The weather was great and it was a really nice time. It's pretty cool how much one person can do. Jonathan's great grandmother had twelve children.  these are her children (the ones still with us) and these are her grandchildren and her great grandchildren and the great great grandchildren Whew. I have taken a little break from writing this weekend, enjoying my birthday by celebrating and relaxing. On Friday (my birthday) had dinner with my sister at Mac and Bob's where her fiance was working all night. After we drank tasty dreamsicle cocktails and danced around the kitchen to old old music. Saturday we had a little shindig on the farm, my older sister's family all came to visit (my brother in law, nephew, and two neices.) They brought me two new rabbits as a gift, both bucks and a perfect breed. I didn't have any cages free, but set them up in totes with cage wire over the top held down by a cinder-block.We drank coffee all day, caught up on our lives, talked about farming dreams and ambitions, just enjoyed the company of family. I taught the kids how to play The Sims, which occupied them the entire day. It was a good visit, I don't get to see them very often, and I love them soo dearly. penny's christmas tree is overflowing After lunch at home with my family we headed over the mountain to visit Jonathan's parents and family. We are very fortunate to have two families who love us so much. Penny cooked breakfast for dinner instead of a normal feast (although a feast it still was) since we had a big lunch, and missed the usual early morning breakfast tradition of past years (we didn't do it this time since my sister was staying the night.) It was quite delicious and we had so much fun visiting everyone. His sister, Toni and her boyfriend and kids came over. Madi and Timmy are always cute and sweet and amazing. Watching them open the mountain of presents is always something else.  Jonathan and Penny Timothy wanted nothing to do with opening presents.
