losing the human parts

Tremble the sky until it shatters us into something real, tremble my heart until the waves break Tremble my limbs until they can finally be still again, until I can't even hold language, words falling from my mouth as if I forgot that I could say things on purpose and mean them. Unhinge my jaw until my teeth stop shaking, until my tongue belongs to me again. I can taste blood. Whose is it? Whose is it? Amertie

dear you

It's not Wednesday, but I haven't posted any poetry in a few weeks. I also feel like I should mention that while I try to keep my blog a positive and uplifting place in general, the poetry I post probably won't be. Why? Well, because positive and uplifting poetry just doesn't really do it for me I guess. I like poetry that strikes chords in my heart. That make me feel what author felt when it was written. I love poetry (or prose or whatever the technical term may be for the particular example) that sends chills down your spine, that you can almost feel running through your veins as you read it. That's what I want to share. Words that have for whatever reason become my favorites. I will always link credit back to the authors, most of which are found on DeviantArt. Here's one of my favorites, because he is the reason I keep trying. --- i.  because you are the reason i want to give up sometimes. because i'll never be as wonderful as you, and i feel like a piece of nothing compared to you. but you are the one holding my hand and pushing me forward, gently, and suddenly, you are the reason i kee...
