a glimpse of 2017

new beginnings 2016 - The Year of Chaos and Turmoil 2017 - The Year of Healing and Progress I cannot think of a better way to sum up this transition. The new year brought in a new era. In January I moved back into the farmhouse and began building an official relationship with Scott (which includes getting to know his three children, plot twist for those of you who don't know me in real life!) Our friendship had been built on honesty and self reflection, which created a perfect foundation for a relationship. I'm struggling with how much and in what ways to share information about this subject, not wanting to give away every personal detail of my life, yet also longing to express the realness, the deepness, the honesty that exists between us. "Little white lies" and frankly, big fat lies as well, are a natural and accepted part of our society, and we don't want that. But more about that later. official photo February brought an intense new fri...

a glimpse of 2016

What a trip these past two years have been.  Somehow I have ended up in an entirely new life;  happy, abundant, confident. This space has always been, above all else, a scrapbook for myself, and in that spirit it seems fitting that I give some sort of account of the time that's passed. Looking back just a few posts is a time warp to 2015, when I was living in a tiny apartment and getting married to my long time boyfriend. While I certainly don't wish to recount every detail of the transition, there are moments worth remembering.  my haven I will remember 2016 as the year I broke all the rules, consequences be damned. It wasn't easy. I made a lot of mistakes. Shed a lot of tears. But I learned about myself; who I really am, who I want to be, who I'm not, and who I don't want to be. That's a lot to learn. I walked away from my marriage, we had a lot of love for each other, but in our decade together we had grown into different people and had some i...

a new era: luna acres horticulture

This year has brought about an entirely new era in my life. I work outside everyday taking care of flower beds. I live in a perfect little house with my new family. I'm about to start college classes for Horticulture. I've grown as a person into someone I really like. I couldn't be happier. The universe is unfolding as it should. I promise, there's more to come very soon! Take care, Angela Kelly

And you may ask yourself, "Well...How did I get here?"

our castle Well... how did I get here? Over the past year my life has turned completely upside down. I finally gathered the strength to leave an unhealthy relationship after nine years. I moved four times. I lost jobs. I lost friends. I found myself in situations I never imagined could happen to me. I battled crippling anxiety and depression. I cried constantly. But life keeps moving forward, whether we realize it's happening or not, and I have to believe that universe is unfolding as it should. I started a job I actually enjoy, working outside. I made new friends. I found a new place to call home (we also call it #divorcefarm, but more about that later). I'm discovering who I really am and what I believe to be important in life. And I'm excited to share it with you. Stay tuned.

The Adventures of 2015- Part 8: December

December The month began with an 80th birthday celebration for my beautiful grandmother. I also had the opportunity to see one of my heroes, David Bazan perform in a personal little living room show. It was amazing. The last great show of the year with the Jackal Tickets. Christmas It was a lovely day with friends and family. New Years Eve Well that's a wrap!  2015 was an exciting roller coaster,  and I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store. No matter what though, I've decided to be happy.  Until next time, Angela Kelly

The Adventures of 2015- Part 7: November

The Adventures of 2015- Part 6: October

October Always one of my favorite months. I love fall. The cooler weather. The leaves. The change. And of course, Halloween, which was particularly fun this year. I'm pretty proud of my fox costume. I made it all myself from scrap fabric and fur. ^_^  I'm usually a terrible procrastinator about costumes,  but with two nights of Halloween show plans this year I  surprised myself with not only one, but two pretty epic ensembles. Round two, Medusa. Don't look. My sister, Amy and her husband, Deacon  definitely won costumes of the year as zombie Lydia and Beetlejuice. Savannah was absolutely the creepiest clown ever. Nightmares for days. Plus this one from another show. Bathroom selfies with the newest member of our crew, Meg. I love you beautiful ladies! Until next time, Angela Kelly
