a new (old) car

We finally got another car. It's by no means fancy or new, but it runs good and doesn't look too bad either. The best part is we got a pretty good deal, leaving a small chunk of change leftover for a tune-up and any repairs we find we need. The car is 1992 Subaru SVX, which was a sports car back in the day, but obviously not very successful at the time as there were only 14,000 sold. It's pretty cool having something that no one has heard of before. It has 195,000 miles on it, which is a lot, but it has had regular maintenance and even had receipts from all the major stuff, like the timing belt and water pump. We paid $1450. That was way more information than most of you wanted to know, but who knows, maybe somebody did.

It will get us from home to work, for now, which frankly is enough for us.
(it does help that it doesn't sound like it's going to fall apart, like the Jeep)

Until next time,
Angela Kelly

The ceremony was simple and sweet, and the reception was the perfect party. A band on the porch, delicious food and drinks, cake and dancing. It was an epic night for everyone involved.   Until next time, Angela Kelly

a few lessons in rabbit husbandry

We now have two years of experience under our belts raising rabbits. We have learned a lot of useful information already, but we are far from experts. That's the thing with farming, with raising animals, you will never be done learning. Bring it on. As of today we have 17 rabbits in our little group, and the more animals you have the more likely you are to have problems. Here are a few of ours: the girls The first problem we had is with the smallest litter we have, which we have had in a large dog crate on the grass. They are starting to get pretty big, and coming of age, they are starting to get a little frisky. This is bad news bears. I was out watching them and saw three boys ganging up on one girl, so in a hurry I fixed up a cage and moved her into it. She was visibly shaken, breathing quickly, her hair a mess with tufts pulled out (that was the first sign I saw that something was going on.) The next d...

baby blue duck eggs make me smile

Since the day before the storm last week we have been getting nearly a duck egg a day.  Beautiful baby blue duck eggs. It makes me very happy. The little wicker duckie makes me smile too. I have a red one two, they were goodwill gifts from my sister. I adore them. Until next time, Angela Kelly
